Republican Brass was formed on the 8 October 2007 by 5 enthusiastic brass players of the Republic Polytechnic Wind Symphony (RPWS).
The ensemble aims to promote the beauty of brass instruments in different genre of music.
We do not just promote works from the Baroque and Classical repertoire but we also aim to take daring leaps into jazz, contemporary concert music and even popular songs.
Since its formation in 2007, the quintet have since transformed into an flexible ensemble that accommodates to various music settings, mainly the Brass Quintet (5 musicians), 6-piece Brass and Large Brass ensemble. The ensemble mainly provides music for various events in Republic Polytechnic.
