Tomorrow is our first concert,

Postponed Ensembles! Concert

As we all know, due to Influenza A (H1N1), the concert has been postponed to a later date which is 28th May. Please make yourself free on that day. It's on Thursday, our usual band day, so you guys should be free. Do remind our guest trumpet player and Hafiz. Thanks.

Updates for the Ensembles! Concert.

ITS THIS THURSDAY.
Be ready by 5pm at the studio.
Attire will be full black as usual. Fold sleeves is allowed.
Dinner will be provided.

It will be a tiring day, have a good rest a day before and drink lots of water.

Ensembles!

The 'Ensembles!' concert aims to provide a platform for Republic Polytechnic Wind Symphony (RPWS) in-house ensembles to perform and showcase their talent outside of normal band practices.

'Ensembles!' also serve as a preview for our Viva La Symphonie III in June 2009.

In this concert, we would be featuring our talented oboist, Simon Lee in "I Need To Be In Love", an arrangement by our very own RPWS member, Miss Chai Pei Chieh.
Another performance by our saxophonist, Kong Songlin will also bring us Aria by Eugene Bozza, serve as a preview for our Viva la Symphonie III.
In this concert, we are also proud to have 2 guest ensembles, CLARquinet and Tuba Powerhouse with us.

Dry Run for Instrumezzo Cantabile De Festival

Hey guys,

Next Tuesday, 9th December, there will be a dry run from 3.30pm - 6.00pm it will be at the Studio itself. Everyone please be there so we know how it will be like during the actual day itself. And please be punctual! On Wednesday, 10th December would be the performance. Please be at Store Room around 4pm.. It's not confirmed but keep in mind it will be around 4pm..

For attire,
Guys, please wear black top and black pants.
Girl, wear the same thing for the concert attire.

Founders' Day

Dear all,

Yesterday, the 8th of October was the founding day of Republican Brass since our formation last year in 2007. Now, Republican Brass is officially 1 year old!
My sincere gratitude to the pioneer batch whom started the ensemble, Eugene Yeo, Song Ren, Phylis and Hafiz. It had been a great pleasure and fun playing with the guys in the ensemble for the past year. It had also been a great honor to work with our guests, Yong Lin and Dax for the past performances.
Currently, i would like to work more with the newly joined year 1 members, Eugene Saw, Derrick and Nazihah and a warm welcome to the family.
